MyL!VEapp is an innovative cell phone application that allows users of cell phones to stream videos of any event they are witnessing live to a news station of their choice. The app puts breaking news and events directly in the hands of the public.
Now, every cell phone user can be a vital part of bringing breaking news we watch on TV. Whenever user sees something happening that is worth sharing with others, they can go beyond current social media applications. With MyL!VEapp filmed video can be transmitted immediately to a news station for live broadcasting. You don't just share a video, you broadcast it live!
In the meantime, the user can see all other videos captured around them. The app has a Map View feature, that pinpoints videos on a map, allowing the user to see what is happening in their community, or across the world. Videos are also available in easy to navigate, chronological order format, allowing few filter options to narrow them down as desired.
Here are the steps:
1. Download the application on your device. During the setup, you will be prompted to choose at least one news station to connect with. Stations can be saved to favorites.
2. Start using the app to report what is happening around you. Anytime you witness an event that is worth sharing, you can send the live video to the news station you connected with or social media page of your choice.
3. Watch what others are sharing. The app will show you all of the videos recorded by other users, as long as they were approved by the news station. You can narrow videos down by category, location, date or news station. Also, you can choose video from the map view.
4. Call for help. One of the app’s great features is the ability to connect with first responders based on your location, even if you are in another country. While help is on its way, your phone will make it easier for them to find you and whoever help was called for.
Cellphone users stream live videos to a news station of their choice. On the other end, news stations utilize our website-based Camcaster Control Room (CCR) to receive, manage, approve and then broadcast videos live. CCR does not require any additional equipment or software, making it versatile and easily accessible from remote locations. Now, any computer with internet access can be a broadcasting control room.
